Farewell Speech @ Valedictory Service of Aizawl Theological College on the 21st April 2015.

Reverend Chairman Sir, Moderator and officers of Mizoram Presbyterian Church Synod, Members of Synod Theological Education Board, Faculties, staff and community of Aizawl Theological College, leaders of different local Churches, all other invitees and relatives of the 55 outgoing students, I feel very honor to deliver words of farewell to the outgoing students to which I feel I am not worthy of.

Well, we have been together here in ATC as student community for years, some 3 years, for some 2 years. While we have been here in this prestigious college in pursuit academic excellence to prepare ourselves for God’s ministry, we have learned countless finest things from your exemplary life, and we have witness your capacity of high quality. On behalf of the students who will continue our study here in the college, I would like to express our sincere gratitude for your guidance in various corners. As you are leaving the college very soon, we will always remember you in life, and in prayer. And please, do the same to us.

Any moment from now on, I believe you will all engage in different ministries, and thus performing the life to the cause of why you have study theology. While entering God’s vineyards to serve God-self and our own humankind, we have trust in you, as you are now equip with sound biblical knowledge and true Christian faiths and doctrines.
Always cling to Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and follow in his footstep. Work hard to achieve public justice, support policies that benefit the greater common good, promote peace and justice for all. Christ’s teachings are still very relevant to various issues facing our world today; trying to implement true Christian ethics can help and will give us advance justice, peace, equality, civility, compassion and virtue.

With these words, we bid you farewell. At the same time, we have hope that our path would cross again very soon sometime in the future, in our striving for the Reign of God, and in our proclamation of liberative solidarity.
